Question for Atmos members - is it always this bad?

I’m a United 1K and was thinking of doing status match and switching my loyalty to Alaska. Used to fly Alaska in the early 2000s and it was awesome. Took my first Alaska flight in a while today. Arrived at the airport to find my flight departure had changed to a different airport 45 minutes away. They sent an email 90 mins before departure which I missed. Sprinted in an Uber to get there to find the flight delayed 2 hours. Ok. Then we boarded and they announced we would be delayed another 2.5 hours and would have to sit on the tarmac. There is no weather issues. Was supposed to be a 90 min flight, now the full journey is looking closer to 8.5 hours (assuming we take off). I’m pretty shocked. I had read the airline has gone downhill under the current CEO. Am I just unlucky or is this pretty common?

Trump promised a golden age for American manufacturing, but since his reelection we’ve lost 75,000 mfg jobs. Over the same period, Biden created 625,000 mfg jobs. Meanwhile, Trump and his family have made billions.
