All jokes aside this is a lovely herbaceous candle. I was a bit nervous reading the reviews since I’m not a huge fan of Lavender, but the hot throw does not smell heavily of it. It’s soothing and the top note is definitely chamomile! The wick is centered, so an even burn is promising. I’d also say the throw is moderate and not light (at least in my place).

I’ll likely repurchase, even though I’ve avoided Diptyque for a while because of the price change.

The Anti-Pumpkin candle has been well covered in this community, so I’ll spare you. But the throw is insane! It’s a hot day, but this candle packs a punch. Very lovely and slightly sweet spruce/pine notes.

I haven’t tried Oakmoss yet, but I’m anticipating it being strong as well. They are both a bit perfume-y to my nose, but I don’t mind it.

I’ve really wanted to try making SOMETHING with yeast, but kneading and proofing scared me! Well, today I felt awesome and decided to make one of the sweet breads I loved when I lived overseas.

I made these by hand, and they turned out great! I had an easy chance to figure out when to add more flour and when to stop kneading.

My coffee buttercream was a little too thick, so the cracking is deep. But the bottoms are nice and golden, and the taste is delicate and lightly sweet just like a milk bread. Can’t wait to keep encouraging myself to keep learning!

What should I try next as a bread/yeast noob who needs to learn how to knead and proof properly?

Bf took me to Superica last week, and I couldn’t stop dreaming about the steak, salsa, and chips! We found out there’s a cookbook, and he surprised me with it.

Overall, I found the recipes to be well-tested and easy to make. I didn’t need to make any adjustments, and it was nice using the same ingredients across multiple dishes. The only disappointment was the steak. The orange flavor was very overpowering. Next time, I’ll swap it for lime juice.

I can’t wait to make more recipes! I’m eyeing the horchata, chicken fajitas, and rice pudding with cherries and almonds.

This is my sweet, sassy, and independent cat—Juniper! I picked her up from a farm about 2 years ago when she was 4 months old. Their cat (who they thought was spayed) had a beautiful little litter. She’s my first pet ever.

I love her and all of her quirks to pieces! I especially love her coat. I’m wondering if she is a torbie? I’ve tried to include many photos of her in different lighting and different life stages.

For context, her mom is a beautiful, long-haired orange cat. Her dad is unknown.

And the well-maintained trail to Sitton’s Gulch to be exact. I really appreciate our Georgia State Park staff and volunteers. Visit while the waterfalls are full!
