I hate it when people don't even bother reading the body text
Look, not trying to throw any shade at the people who do this and rather the action itself, but with that being said, this thing as a whole grinds my gears the same way theory crafters have been praying for Metagross to grind gears for years now. People put effort into writing body text, often playing a key role in the discussion at hand, only to have others skim over it or ignore it to get straight into the comments and be left completely confused. I chose the example in the post because it was the most recent example I've come across and had a shit load of instances within it, but there are a ton of other examples out there that showcase this to a far worse degree. From things like serious discussions to powerscaling to lore debates to actual questions to even things like citing sources, a lot of this can be found in the body text of a post, and yet it is ignored because some people are moving like the average JJK fan. This whole thing makes me want to write an essay's worth of text just to make sure that people see it, know what they're getting into, don't miss a thing, and can actually properly engage with the conversation at hand
Guys, just read the text within a post. Please. Pretty please. Pretty please with a cherry on top. Just read, that's all I'm asking. Just read, it's that simple. Just read, that's all you have to do to actually be able to properly engage with a discussion like this
