Research something I'm interested in (nonlinear waves) or something that'll get me a job (machine learning?)

Hi everyone. I am a rising junior majoring in applied mathematics and computer science. I'm having a conundrum when it comes to undergraduate research. I loved my PDEs class and have the opportunity to continue researching it throughout undergrad. I also have the opportunity to do machine learning research through a different professor. I'm way more interested in the PDEs but I also know that machine learning could make me a lot more money right out of school. What advice would you give me?

Getting into data science as a math major, looking for a rough roadmap.

Hi everyone. I am looking ahead to next summer to score a data science internship. I am a currently a rising junior applied math major with a computer science minor. I have course work in Python, Java, machine learning, statistics, linear algebra, and advanced calculus. I also have research experience in machine learning, nonlinear PDEs (definitely not applicable but it's research,) and this summer I have a quantum computing internship. I feel like this is such a broad range of experiences that I want to hone it down to data science. What helped you guys get beginner data science internships? I've seen SQL and Excel, but what else should I be filling in. I also have an interest in working for a sports book (FanDuel, BetMGM, Draft Kings, etc.,) does anyone have any experience with them?

VT and chill at 19?

Hi everyone. I know this has probably been asked at nauseum. I have about 15k in my Roth IRA investing in the S&P 500. That being said, I just don't want to think about my investments. Looking ahead for the next 40 years, should I just VT and chill? VTI and chill? Something else and chill?

Like the title. Could be a math, stats, computer science, EAS, etc. class. I've probably taken most of the pre reqs for these classes anyways.
