Cannot connect to QNAP
Hi all…. I really need some help as I’ve tackled all the basics and I’m not getting anywhere…
I have a TS-464 at home that has been happily running for around a year.
It had a power cut at the weekend, and I took the opportunity to try and relocate it in the home. However, since then I’ve been unable to connect.
First of all, boot up and LEDs all indicate no issue. Long beep on start up, green ‘I’ icon orange network icon, green lights for installed disks.
Connection at start was via Ethernet, but I’ve also tried connecting to the router direct and to a pc directly.
Qfinder pro is not finding it on any of these.
In the router I’ve set it to have a static ip (137), but nothing is working even with direct IP connection.
Without qfinder and without a direct ip login I’m at a loss on how to progress 🙁
A lot of data that I need is on those disks and I don’t think now these have been formatted to qnap standard that I could put them back in my old d link nas enclosure….
Any ideas or suggestions on how I might move forward?
Gratefully yours….
Update:
So the best option was to remove all drives and start the device up.
One of the disks is degraded - tbc if recoverable as I’m awaiting qnap support.
But if I remove that disk (which was backed up) I restored the other two disks I have and I’m up and running. I just have no backup at the moment.
Hopefully this helps anyone else with a similar situation
