Im sure this is asked a lot, but I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for any sites or services which focus on allowing you to use local models, but with the UI and chat capabilities structured off of the mainstream model apps like ChatGPT, Grok, Deepseek, etc? My PC isn’t powerful enough to test any local models myself. I don’t mind paying a small enough fee for it, the only *real* requirement I have is ease-of-use; I don’t want to spend an hour trying to figure out why it won’t accept the custom model I got from HuggingSpace.
Not looking for any “roleplay” sort of site, and not for coding either. I’d love if it allows a customisable system prompt or project instructions, and doesn’t have any or loose censorship.

I’ve noticed that the AI REALLY struggles when something really major happens, either doing far too little to simulate the change, or just completely deleting some nations for no apparent reason. 3 major examples I’ve had in my most recent game are:

1. Russia beginning a war with NATO, then the only thing which changed was a single tile change with Poland, then suddenly Russia was at the Oder river(with no map changes. The baltics, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania etc all completely ignored. NATO also didn’t do anything to properly counter Russia.
2. China collapsing which either lead to just places like Tibet and Xijiang breaking free, maybe a rebel state in Manchuria or Guangdong, then Taiwan or a random nation like Outer Mongolia annexing the rest of China.
3. The US entering a multi-faction civil war or collapsing usually is limited to maybe 1 or 2 provinces in California and/or Texas breaking off, then nothing else. Canada and Mexico never do anything or react to the supposed chaos either.

Anyone know good presets which help fix this issue, or maybe an AI you noticed was good at not missing any details?
In particular, simulating a major war having changes in territory in ALL involved nations, or properly simulating a nations collapse, or not accidentally deleting random nations.

I have been watching Mussolini: Son of the Century to learn more about the time period in Italy, and so far it has been historically accurate for the most part, however the parts which depict Mussolini’s interactions with his second wife, Rachele, puzzled me as I couldn’t seem to find any sources on seemingly major things happening between them. There are 2 major moments so far which have stood out to me;

1. Her “discovering” of Mussolinis affair with his mistress, and pointing a gun to his head, seemingly to kill him.
2. Mussolini returning one night to find her nightgown hung up beside an open window, heavily implying she either hung herself, or ran away.

Could anyone who is more knowledgeable about Mussolini’s personal life help explain if these events actually happened or not? From what I can find, Rachele stayed with Mussolini his entire life, and died decades after the war.

I have the Pax Historia patron sub(still the first month so both AI vendor options) but I was wondering if anyone knows how to actually use the AI's you unlock well?
The Chutes AI won't say what model it is, and doesn't seem to understand that it can edit the map when something happens. It also seems to always put a quote at the end of each news event.
The Canopy AI is a little better, but it has such a small context window, and seems to go off the rails entirely very easily.

I tried using the API option, with Gemini 3.1 Pro preview, but that just felt...off I guess? It just felt very lacking overall, pretty much just mindlessly obeyed my orders and never showed the world reacting.

Does anyone know how I could use these AI better? Is there a way to choose what AI model I use for Chutes and Canopy?
