Positive story - HPV 18 clearance

Hi everyone! In July of 2024 I had my first ever Pap smear at the age of 36. I know, I know. Medical anxiety is a mf’er. Those results were HSIL/CIN3 & HPV 18. If it wasn’t for my angel of a PCP that I started going to in 2022, I would have gone my whole life not getting a pap because ‘I’d know if something was wrong, right?’ 🙃 Wrong!

In October 2024 I had a successful LEEP procedure under GA - clear margins! The couple of weeks following a LEEP are f u n k y but I had a full recovery.

May 2025 was my follow-up which showed ASCUS & still HPV 18 positive. My Dr. took biopsies to be on the safe side and it turned out to just be inflammation, no abnormal cells. Come back in a year.

May 2026 I had my yearly follow-up and my results were negative for both abnormal cells and HPV. What a relief!

Since January of 2025 - now I lost 70lbs by becoming more active and through portion control and I started taking Pervistop. I have no doubt that proactively taking care of my body helped clear this virus.

Please, please, please get your paps and do what you can to take care of your body. If you’re currently HR HPV + just know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Every body is different and will react to this stupid virus differently. Listen to your doctor and follow their suggested course of treatment. A few minutes of discomfort is better than leaving your health (and your life!) up to chance.
