What to do if your male best friend is falling in love with you
Ok context- I 22F and my male best friend 22M have been friends just short of ten years. We went to high school together and our mums just happen to start working together and become friends. Last year I fell pregnant to someone who I was just ending a relationship with, I went through my whole pregnancy and postpartum single- I’m used to being on my own. We ultimately decided to break up because we both knew we weren’t right for each other. The fact I kept the baby is neither here nor there. I love my daughter she’s my best friend. Now me and my male best friend have been hanging out recently- just us. Going out for dinners and things like that. We started to spark up a little romance. I’m hesitant because I’m a new mother (4 months pp) he says he really likes me and has always wanted to ask me out but it never seemed to be the right time. The other night he was out with friends when he got drunk and messaged me that he was starting to fall in love with me. I don’t want to jump off the deep end being a new mother and all but I’ve known this guy for a very long time. What should I do?
