Cricket Wireless suspended my service after I paid the amount shown in the app — is this normal?
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with Cricket Wireless.
I set up Auto Pay on June 30. After I turned it on, my bill in the app changed from $60 to $55, and it showed that $55 was due on July 1. On July 1, I paid the $55 amount shown in the app.
However, on July 2, I found out that my service was suspended. The app then said I still needed to pay a remaining $5 balance, plus another $5 reactivation fee, in order to restore my service.
This feels really weird to me because I paid the full amount that the app showed as due. If the app showed $55 due after Auto Pay was applied, I don’t understand why I’m being treated as if I underpaid or missed a payment.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this a normal Cricket billing issue, or should I contact support and ask them to remove the reactivation fee?
