Does the extra/second password for Pass guarantee me always access to Pass without ever requiring me to provide my normal Proton password *first*, after setting it up the first time? Because I want to be able to save my normal Proton Login into Pass and forget about it.

The reason im asking is, i set up the browser extension yesterday (Brave), but today it asked me again for my normal Proton login first to set it up again for some reason... The Desktop application luckily did not do that tho (yet).
