Innate Cursed Technique: Multiplication via Attrition

Cursed Technique: Multiplication via Attrition

The user is able to, for themselves or others, multiply the amount of Cursed Energy being used. This can be applied to basic enhancement or to the utilization of a Cursed Technique. This can manifest in multiple ways: increased power in a technique (Cleave having twice the amount of power in it) or multiple uses of a technique (Boogie Woogie being able to swap 4 things instead of 2). The amount of Cursed Energy being used depends on both the multiplication level (2, 3, 4, ...) and the initial amount of Cursed Energy being used (a 2x multiplication on Miwa is going to be a lot easier than a 2x multiplication on Sukuna).

However, the main complication of the technique is that it doesn't just create Cursed Energy out of nothing; Instead, it increased the amount of Cursed Energy being used proportionally to the level of multiplication (IE a 2x boost is going to use 2x the Cursed Energy). Thus, when factoring the Cursed Energy being used to activate the technique, more Cursed Energy is being used overall than if the technique were being used multiple times. This leads to the main uses of the technique:

  1. For users able to only utilize a certain amount of their Cursed Energy at a time, this allows them to bypass that.
  2. Allows for more quick uses of techniques (clapping 1 to swap 4 things with Boogie Woogie as opposed to clapping twice) or quicker overall battles (hitting a cursed 2+ times multiplier to end a fight quickly and prevent collateral damage)
  3. Makes the Reverse Cursed Technique easier to use as Cursed Energy is already being multiplied/overlapped on itself. This also allows a bypass to the difficulty of using the Reverse Cursed Technique on others, as this technique simply makes it easier for others to do it themselves.
  4. Allows for Hail-Mary style strikes from sorcerers who are about to exit a fight, whether through death, incapacitation, or just literally being moved.
  5. Can allow for stealthier attacks and more effective CE usage. Instead of focusing your cursed energy into an attack, giving away what you're about to do as mentioned by Todo, this technique allows for the energy to be effectively redirected into an attack at the last possible second.
  6. Although risky, it can be used to effectively drain another person's Cursed Energy by multiplying the Cursed Energy being used on useless moves. For example, you could multiply someone's enhanced jump by 4 to make them overshoot, or a punch you're about to dodge so that they waste more energy. One caveat to this is that this technique can be resisted by the affected party. While it can be sensed, it is very difficult to do so if you are unaware it is being used on you, even harder if you don't know about the technique at all. If opposed, it will result in something similar to a Domain clash: with the stronger force winning out.

Reverse Technique: Division via Retention

Pretty straight forward reversal: instead of pumping more Cursed Energy into a technique to strengthen it's effect, you reduce the amount of Cursed Energy being used to weaken a technique. Some uses include:

  1. Obviously useful in sabotaging other users by weakening their attacks and techniques. This does, however, come at the cost of leaving your opponent with more cursed energy. Again, keep in mind that this can be resisted if noticed.
  2. Can increase the difficulty of using the RCT both by making multiplying it on itself harder and by reducing the amount of available CE.
  3. For binary techniques like Boogie Woogie, where there is no middle ground for activation, this can be utilized to fully disable their ability as long as the technique is active.
  4. In a beneficial manner, can be used to stop a would-be failed attack, thus saving the Cursed Energy that would have been wasted.

Maximum: Epitomized Erosion

Again, a pretty straight forward maximum: in exchange for all of the user's available Cursed Energy, they can focus all the target's available Cursed Energy into an attack (or just all of their Cursed Energy if they're using it on themselves). Again, by using all of this energy they can basically eliminate an opponent from a fight by draining all the Cursed Energy out of them in one go. However, this also comes with the risk of raising the blow/technique to it's maximum possible level: if not careful, this could easily lead to a disaster. Of course, it can also be used for the opposite purpose: buffing out a single all-or-nothing attack at the cost of removing 2 people from the battlefield. While still able to be resisted, Epitomized Erosion is not affected by the normal costs influenced by multiplication level or Cursed Energy usage: this technique will fully drain an opponent, regardless of strength disparity.

Domain Expansion: Mathematics of Communal Entropy

Inside this domain, the costs of Multiplication via Attrition is split between the inhabitants proportional to their available Cursed Energy. So if both a Grade 3 and a Special Grade were in this domain when the technique is used, the Special Grade will loses more total Cursed Energy than the Grade 3. While the combat benefits of this domain are obvious, it's also useful outside of combat for it's ability to essentially combine multiple sources of Cursed Energy. One way is to heal someone low on Cursed Energy by multiplying the RCT subsidizing the other inhabitants cursed energy. It can also allow for the creation of powerful cursed tools by allowing multiple people's cursed energy to be essentially focused through a single user.
