Possible lithium toxicity was terrifying

I’ve been pretty dehydrated lately. I’m only on 300 mg lithium so I never really worried about my levels or a threat of toxicity.

I fly a lot for work and a couple of weeks ago I got home & was extremely swollen. My face was swollen. I was retaining a lot of water and I was dehydrated. I crashed the day after. So exhausted I couldn’t function for a day or two. I was being vain and my biggest concern was getting rid of the face bloat. I never even thought about dehydration or lithium. My doctor wanted me to stop taking it anyway, but I told him I was worried about withdrawal and would rather stay on it.

Fast forward to yesterday. I work remote. I was at home and just finished something. The day before I’d done a lot of hard work in my garden and sweating. I probably pulled a muscle. So, my neck and right shoulder started hurting a lot and my hand started tingling. Immediately I felt very nauseous and vomited. Immediately after that my hands started shaking uncontrollably and my whole body started shaking. My hand was shaking so bad I couldn’t text so I used Siri to text a friend and my dad begging for Gatorade. I’m 46, so my dad isn’t young. My dad responded first so he brought the Gatorade. He brought an 8 pack and I had 1 1/2. I immediately stopped shaking, so I thought, ok I’m just dehydrated…still not thinking about the lithium. I’m also perimenopausal I guess, so sometimes I have night sweats.

I woke up this morning soaked in sweat with a fever. I didn’t think & just went to urgent care. At this point I think I’ve had 6 Gatorades. I hate them because there’s so much salt. They tested my urine & I was still dehydrated. I had a very thorough exam. I was there being cared for, for at least 2 hours. I was terrified it could be a heart issue or liver? Or gallbladder? I had so many strange symptoms. I had low grade fever when I got there.

They couldn’t do a level test there but the NP was pretty convinced I’d gone toxic even on a low dose. She administered an IV of fluids. I decided to follow my doctor’s orders and go off lithium. This was absolutely terrifying. Does this sound like toxicity to you? I have no idea but my health just gave me a major scare.

I think it’s hemorrhoids, but I’m freaked out

I’ve had an external one for a long time. It never really goes away. It just shrinks or gets irritated. I’ve noticed in the past that there’s been a small amount of blood when I’ve wiped. It usually hurts pretty bad inside, feels like it’s ripping but until the past few days, I’ve never seen blood in the toilet. The first time was about 3 days ago, a few drops. Scared me. Yesterday, there was a lot of blood. The whole bowl wasn’t dark red or anything. It was bright red and obviously dripped from me. It just scared the shit out of me. I’m over here googling cancer. I can’t do that!

I started using Doctor Butler’s hem & fissure ointment & that gives some relief. I started eating benefiber chewable. I pooped a lot today. It was much softer & no blood! My poop looks like a normal color, no blood in it.

I’m just terrified. My health insurance lapsed because it’s so effing expensive & literally will cover nothing unless I meet an insane deductible. It was only catastrophic. And now I’m convinced I have cancer and this is catastrophic.

Mary Ruth’s Lymphatic Drops

If you’re not using this, you have to get it.

I have a few reasons I’ve been very bloated and gained weight. I lost a lot of weight & my range got to 145-148 and has been that for over a year.

I have bipolar & very well managed. I’ve been stable & successful for years and years. But each March I have to take an extra med a few times a week for a few weeks. It wrecks my metabolism & causes weight gain. I got up to 158 and have struggled since then. I’ve been on semaglutide for a few years. It’s impossible to lose weight on BP meds & it helped!

I’ve been trying everything. I already do gua sha on my face, know how to stimulate lymph nodes each morning & I’ve gotten lymphatic massage.

I fly at least once a month for work. I did a round trip long flight within 3 days. I came home sick, face almost unrecognizable I was so puffy & gained 8 lbs over night. That’s when I researched lymphatic drainage supplements.

Mary Ruth’s was constantly cited as the best. I started last Sunday. It’s Saturday now. A couple days ago I finally started waking up without my eyelids swollen over. Today, I weighed in at 148! First time in 140s since February! My face looks lean! I feel lighter! I am peeing a lot though 😂 I drink a ton of water, cut out diet sodas and any sodium.

I highly recommend it!!!!! First supplement I’ve seen such good results from.
