New Passport Has Surname, but Work Permit Does Not

My original passport did not have a surname, and my work permit was issued accordingly. I have since obtained a new passport that includes my surname. Do I need to amend my work permit, or is there another process I should follow? ( I raised web form during application but they never considered)

Regarding Work Permit expiry date 9and Name Update

I applied for a work permit extension when my passport was valid until July 2027. After applying, I received a new passport with my husband’s surname and submitted it through the IRCC webform.

However, it appears that my new passport information and surname were not updated when my application was processed. My work permit was also not issued for the full period I expected.

Could you please advise me on what I should do now and whether my work permit and surname can be corrected or updated?

Thank you for your guidance.

My Breast Health Journey (32F) — Finally Some Good News

I'd like to share my story.

I'm a 32-year-old woman. When I was 24, I found a lump in my breast. I was very worried and went to the doctor. They did an ultrasound and a biopsy. It came back benign. Also, had small surgery to remove it. After that, I went for an ultrasound every year and everything always looked normal. I had a fluid-filled lump in my breast, but I was told it was nothing to worry about.

In September 2024, I gave birth to my baby girl via C-section. In October I had an ultrasound and everything looked normal. I should mention that I didn't breastfeed much because my milk supply was very low.

Then I missed my annual check-up the following year and that was my big mistake.

I started having really bad pain in my shoulder and back. My doctor said it was likely a posture issue from my desk job, so I started exercising, but nothing helped. Eventually it occurred to me that I should get my breasts checked.

On April 19th, I had an ultrasound and they found a complicated cyst alongside the fluid one. The complicated cyst measured 0.6 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm. They told me a mammogram and biopsy were required. I couldn't sleep, the doctor said it could be serious or it could be nothing.

I got a mammogram about a week later, but the hospital said they weren't satisfied with the results. On May 13th, they called me back for another mammogram and an additional ultrasound.

Then today, I got the call from my family doctor. She had happy news. She said it is benign and that no further biopsy was needed. I am so relieved and happy!

However, they've recommended a 6-month follow-up. They also said surgery is an option if I'm in pain, but the cause of my shoulder/back pain still hasn't been identified, so I'm not sure what to do next.
