Reimporting Issues - Studio 20.3
Hello Davinci Community! I'm currently editing a video in DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.3 on Windows 11. I have around 6 hours of footage from iPhones and GoPros.
I've had some issues in the past where my footage didn't have the right metadata, so it wouldn't sort by date. I've fixed that with some convoluted workaround.
Today I noticed that some of the clips didn't sort correctly, so I did what worked before. I removed every single clip from the media pool and re-added them. I didn't think much of it. Some time went by and I started noticing: some of the GoPro footage was swapped around. For example, the video started with the clip called GX010209 or something, but now it had swapped with GX010094 (or some other GoPro clip). I panicked and tried all sorts of things. CTRL+Z didn't work, re-importing didn't work, and I didn't have backups enabled. All of the keyframes remained, just on the wrong footage. I've tried using Claude for help, but nothing worked.
Is there some way I can save my work? Or is it lost forever?
