Yeah, i like painting my little mechs, MW5 has a very fun albeit simple coloring tool but it works great helping me get inspired for my future Battletech figurines painting session.

What are your colours? Do you paint the entire lance in the same colours or do you also make every mech individual?

Yes, i know fire on Longbow is inverted, but i like the red boots better than yellow

Holy Dakka

My favorite build so far of just 2 RF AC5s

It's not the strongest, it's not the best but it's hella fun and it's my favorite.

Daka Jagermech started as a normal Jagermech when i exchanged normal ACs with BF variant and i felt the joy of pelting enemies with lead but ammo was always lacking. And thus M Lasers had to go for ammo, it worked fine in short missions but running out of ammo was still a real threat and sometimes i would have to rely on my AI pilots to deal with the rest of the mission.

Somehow somewhere i found out i had these nifty level 4 AC/5 RF ~~funs~~ guns (likely as a campaign mission reward but im not too sure and coincidentally having to worry about two types of ammo was becoming bothersome so AC2s were exchanged for the M Lasers and full armor up.

That's when gates of Dakka heaven opened up for me. First run in the arena with 3 tons of ammo was the highest high i've felt playing MW games having every encounter with enemy mechs (i only saw light and mediums) ended in less than 5 seconds, the AC5 going off every half a second was like a metronome kept up a tempo of lead destruction. Oh damn it was so much fun! But the very next real mission was a reality check that 3 tons wasn't enough. Having no ammo not even reaching the midpoint of the mission was embarrasing enough to kick out the M lasers. At that point i still had a multiple heat sinks but not enough ammo in storage to equip. Mission after mission i scrounged up ammo, removing heat sinks and it still wasn't enough so armor needed to go and now with 11 tons of ammo and skipping leg and core days i feel happy. Happy with Dakka that never runs out of ammo (so far).

For the record i have bought Atlas and Annihilator with 4xLBX and other heavy/assault mechs, yeah those are fun but they are not Dakka. Yes i can equip Annihilator with more Dakka but it's not the same as my true OG choice.

Next step is to get AC/10 RF... I wonder how much armor will i have to strip off until i'm happy with the ammo count

Giant can 1-shot anything

I just found out that giant can 1-shot anyone when the target is pushed up against the corner wall (3 or less surrounding tiles) and there's no tile in the back for the target to land on.

Final round i was left against 3 star full hp monk at the left side of the arena at the tile that can be attacked from 3 other tiles, i had left alive very low hp knight, full hp princess and full hp giant. Knight was fighting monk the entire round and at the very end my giant came up to full hp 3 star monk, used his ability and monk just disappeared when he landed. Giant came up from right side of monk so when giant used his ability there was no other tile higher or lower for monk to go and i think the game just got confused?

I will try to catch this on video later
