I know that in the battletech universe is very much like 40k in that everyone is fighting all the time since the fall the first Star League.
Now I am wondering which side, as the title says, would likely be the best choice. This is forgoing a pay day etc.
100 tonner armor, 65 km/h speed, 4 large, 10 medium and 1 emotional support energy slots for flexible laserboating, all in torsos. And, the coolest feature to save all your precious Clan lasers - dedicated shield arms!
So far, my favorite loadout is 4 C-LPL + 8 C-ER-SL + Clan Active Probe.
The only thing it needs to become a true Emperor of Mechkind is ECM slot.

I just finished Ashes and Ascension and its probably my second favorite to Shadow of Kerensky for the story and cinematic. I cant help but feel like they are trying to wrap up the story and I hope they find a compelling way to keep releasing more DLC above just dropping new mechs.

What if in a future DLC we got to build our own base of operation. I don't think a full on "place a room tile" base builder would fit but something like Assassin's Creed 2 were you just buy and unlock the upgrades to build/renovate it. It could allow us to build out a larger merc company, assign pilots and mechs to contracts for the company, or maybe research special upgrades.
That being said I'd be plenty happy with more DLC stories like we've been getting. Mason's just gettin up there man, let the poor man retire but keep the DLC comin!

One I tested recently was 2 lb10x autocannons, 2large pulse lasers, 4 er small lasers, and an srm 6
4x LBX-5s, 2x ER-LLs, a 2.4 Heat Dissipation with 6 and 1/2 tons of ammo, plus Blackmarket Countermeasures and a AP.
9 Upgrade Points and a newly fixed Cockpit hitbox with 30 whole points of armor.
What's not to like?

Not that of a game-breaking visual bug of sorts but I've been noticing that AC-5RFs is still showing different hardpoints on the Longbow variant of Wolf's Dragoons. So far it's only happening on AC5 RFs and not on other ballistics types.
Unlike all the other column headers which sort equipment low to high by name or weight or slot size, the tier header filters equipment by the tier you want.
So instead of having to scroll down to the clan grade equipment, which can be especially annoying for ballistics because there are too many varieties of AC, you can just set to only show tier 6 equipment! Now you only see clan stuff! So much simpler than regularly having to scroll down after fitting the first clan weapon you wanted.
Five years of playing this game and I only discovered it by accidentally clicking that header.

Kidding aside, I haven't used Blood Asps that much because of the walking animation as mentioned by other folks in the community. But man I like the loadouts of these mechs

I realized last night that I don’t have it. I have done at least 4x play through on PC, did 3/4 of the campaign on ps4 then started playing career with probably 2-3 play through there. On PS5 I played several play through in the days up through dragon’s gambit and I did find the KO on one of those.
I’ve never seen it since.

350+ ps5
250+ PC
One sighting….one
And the funny thing is, it’s really not much different than the other ones.
I also have 2 variants on PC I’ve never seen, but to be honest, I don’t shop much anymore, but I imagine they only pop as rare, so I’d see it on the menu at least.

Yeah, i like painting my little mechs, MW5 has a very fun albeit simple coloring tool but it works great helping me get inspired for my future Battletech figurines painting session.
What are your colours? Do you paint the entire lance in the same colours or do you also make every mech individual?
