Gen 4 3sgte swap in gen 1 rav 4. 8k. Worth it?
I really love the gen 1 rav 4s and this guy has 2 for sale with a 3sgte swap in it. Ive heard the 3sgte is a good motor but honestly dont know enough about them besides they can bolt into the gen 1 rav 4s and swapping them in can be meticulous with the need of a custom wiring harness and a better fuel pump.
But id be willing to learn if this is a good deal as this seems like the ultimate daily for someone that lives on the northeast side of the US.
The first one for sale that isn't shown is a stock rav 4 with no mods and the 3sgte with supposedly no issues and is ready to go.
And then there's this one with the photos listed. Seems like motor has some mods and some rims. But cooling system over pressurizes with signs that the head gasket isn't bad. Obviously id have to look and see for myself but is the price worth it -$8000 usd
