What is your world's most famous food/drink?

I always think that food in general are a very overlooked topic in most projects.

So what is your world's most popular food/drink? The "Pizza" of your world, the dish that makes people say "there isn't ANYONE that hates ts"

I think I just found something

Maybe a coincidence, but I had a big serendipity with the melody from Minecraft Dungeons 2.

That melody sounds VERY similar to a part of a song I heard before called "Into The Feywilds" by Michael Ghelfi and Filip Melvan.

Here's the link to the song on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEkCoLPxAr4

From 3:45 to 4:18

Maybe it's just my paranoia but PLEASE tell me I'm onto something.

Non "Four Great Fantasy Species" (Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs) worldbuilders, assemble.

Which intelligent species are replacing those in your settings? I'm very curious.

I have four intelligent species in my worldbuilding project too, and it was easy for me to create them cause I like biology and echology a lot.

Also, extra question: Do any of those original species have any subspecies? Like Khajiits variants from The Elder Scrolls universe.

I'll share my four intelligent species with yall:

Humans

No need of explanations. But my version of humans have an magic-biologic language in their DNA called Errhen, they can communicate through it and everyone understands naturally what someone tries to say, even babies! In the world are 3 subspecies of humans:

  • Lezzer: Lezzer means "The Young" in the Errhen language. They are called like that because a group of young adventurers got separated of the main group of humans long ago. Lezzers are shorter and bulkier humans with red, blonde and sometimes deep dark purple hair.
  • Chironterontes: Chironteroses means "Plumed Actors of Chiron" in their own language, called like that because Chiron (the tenth human to ever exist) created a religion that stated they were actors in a big movie for the gods, and later in the future the tribes that followed his religion use cloaks made from big birds feathers. This subspecies have little horns similar to a young deer's and some womans have olive green hair.
  • Thosker: Thosker means *"*The Tough/Hotheaded" in Errhen and they're called like that because. in the island they live, there are three great clans that are always in fight with eachother. They are taller, with grey hair humans with a natural talent to create art.

Bocks

The Bocks are a species of anthropomorphic insects native to the eastern islands of Droloa. Their culture revolves around the moon, silk, and dances.

The Bocks' color ranges from red to blue on a scale of red to blue, they have a max of 6 eyes and 6 limbs. Their eyes are yellow and only have two large eyeballs. They only have two large eyeballs that rotate to position their pupils in two of up to six eye sockets, so they can see in a very different way than we do.

Their skin is so sensitive to sunlight that they have to wear clothes that don't let a single ace of light pass through it at day, so they became nocturne animals.

Like humans, Bocks are omnivores, but usually eat plants to create silk. That silk is secreted by the skin of the Bocks and is used to make the softest and finest clothes on the planet.

Eruseme

Nobody knows if these are living creatures or not. Eruseme is short for "Eruptive, Sedimentary and Metamorphic", the three types of rocks.

The Eruseme are organisms made of crystals, mainly the Tubular Corporite, a royal purple crystal that crystalizes in nearly rectangular tubes.

The Eruseme look like a short or mid-height polyhedric cyclop trolls made from many types of crystals depending on how deep underground they were born.

Often called an "automata" by scholars because the only thing they have in common with other intelligent species is language an intelligence, then they don't have sexual desires, culture, social systems, etc, but they still have charm somehow.

Puffs

A breed of roents (principally rabbits) with human-like features such as beards, eyes, and thumbs.

At their first stage, the hind legs are still useless so they have to crawl and they are little cubes of fluff with little teeths and ears. Then, their hind legs develop fully and can speak normally but they still are big cubes of fluff, and finally in adulthood most of the hair falls down now revealing a more bunny-like body.

The Puffs are a very cute, pacific kind but fierce if they are treatened. Their culture revolves around nature and magic.

Does your world's pantheon/higher beings have any conflicts between them?

Like, maybe family issues or disagreements.

In my fantasy settings, the Aperor (a race of gods) can absorb their twin's domain, and once absorbed that sibling loses any rights and becomes property of their twin. Many gods of the family have questioned this but most of them see this as a tradition.

What is a strange pet from your world that people assume is normal?

It doesn't have to be an animal but inanimate objects too, like pet rocks.

In my fantasy setting there are living dough / homunculus made from dough called Massii, they are used to teach children how to take care for others. And these Massii act pretty much like sourdough and they even have seed eyes.
