Need help diagnosing RX 7600 crashes in OW2 (black screen + rendering device lost)

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: XFX Speedster SWFT210 Radeon RX 7600 8GB GDDR6

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6 Core 12 Thread Processor

Motherboard: MSI PRO B550M-VC WiFi ProSeries

BIOS Version: Not sure currently

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MT/s

PSU: CORSAIR CX650M 80 Plus Bronze Semi-Modular 650W
(Previous PSU was MSI MAG A650BN 650W 80 Plus Bronze)

Case: Montech AIR 903 Base

Operating System & Version: Windows 11

GPU Drivers: Latest AMD Adrenalin drivers (updated recently)

Chipset Drivers: Not sure currently

Background Applications: Discord, Chrome

Description of Original Problem:

Since around August 2025, I’ve been having a crashing issue almost exclusively while playing Overwatch 2.

Originally, the crash looked like this:

  • Monitor suddenly goes black for around 10 seconds
  • Then says “No HDMI signal”
  • Keyboard and mouse shut off
  • PC itself stays powered on and case fans continue spinning
  • Motherboard VGA/debug light turns on and stays on
  • Only way to recover is turning the PSU switch off and rebooting

At first this happened very rarely, but over time it became more frequent.

I originally posted about this elsewhere and was told to update my drivers. After updating them, the issue completely stopped for around 3 weeks before returning. Someone also informed me the motherboard light indicated which component was failing, and when the crash happened again, I confirmed it was the VGA/GPU light.

Because of that, I assumed my graphics card itself was defective and bought a brand new GPU of the exact same model. The issue still happened within about 15 minutes of installing the replacement card.

Around March 2026, a second crash started happening. If I alt-tab out of Overwatch 2, my PC becomes laggy/stuttery and then the game closes with a “Rendering Device Lost” error.

Now both crashes happen:

  • black screen/no HDMI signal crash
  • “Rendering Device Lost” crash

The issue is almost entirely isolated to Overwatch 2. My PC otherwise behaves normally during regular use and other games.

Troubleshooting:

  • Updated GPU drivers
  • Uninstalled and re-installed the drivers (I believe my friend called it a "clean reinstall")
  • Reported crashed through AMD
  • Replaced PSU
  • Replaced GPU entirely with another RX 7600
  • Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic (no issues found)
  • Monitored temps (appear normal)
  • Checked cables/connections
  • Checked Event Viewer (only improper shutdown logs)

Hi everyone! This sub has been very helpful for me during my journey, so it felt fitting to come here with a question like this!

I’m 23, 5’5, ~115 lbs. Over the past year–year and a half I’ve been focusing a lot on self-care (lost weight, simplified routines, etc.) and trying to finally get my skin under control.

I just finished my 6th month of Accutane. My official course was technically 5 months, but I started at 40mg/day and got bumped to 60mg/day (30mg x2) around month 4. My derm and I agreed to do one more month (7 months in total), but she said she probably wouldn’t extend it much longer after that.

My skin is definitely way better than before, but I’m not completely clear, and I’m not sure if my expectations are just too high or if I should be further along by now.

Current routine:

- Cleanser (once daily): Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Cleanser

- Moisturizer: Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer (I reapply during the day)

- Sunscreen: Centella sunscreen

- Lips: Cortibalm + “Maintain” chapstick

That’s it. I’ve been trying really hard not to overdo anything.

Right now, it just doesn’t feel fully “clear,” if that makes sense. I’m mainly worried that my derm is going to stop treatment before I actually reach that point.

I guess I’m just wondering:

- Is this a normal place to be towards the end of a course?

- Should I push for another month or longer?

- Or is this basically the expected result, and the rest is just maintenance/healing?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions because I don’t know if I’m overthinking it or not, haha!

I've attached photos. The first three are from today, and the last two were from my first day of taking Accutane.

Thank you for your help, y'all are awesome!!
