Can someone with untreated narrow-angle glaucoma go to a movie theater/concert?

My eye doctor said for me to keep the lights on at night to prevent eye dilatio. I was considering going to a concert and a movie I wanted to go to, both of which are before my planned laser proce. Shpups I just not go, or do you think I’d be okay? I have monocular vision so Im really not trying to mess around with this.

Adult survivor of laser-treated ROP with narrow/angle-closure glaucoma seeking physicians experienced with abnormal anatomy from prematurity.

Hi everyone. 34F recently diagnosed with narrow-angle glaucoma.

Here’s the thing: I have monocular vision. I’ve only been able to see out of one eye since pretty much birth, and the eye I see out of with severe myopia was stated as a kid to be at risk of retinal detachment…. and apparently the pilocarpine drug that’s often used in these laser procedures has a low risk of retinal detatchment.

So naturally I’m worried and unsure what to do. A retinal specialist I went to did take a picture of my eye and conclude that detachment would likely not occur as the strength of the scarring on my retina makes it stronger than the average one. So she was very reassuring. However, she is largely a retinsl specialist and isn’t as experienced with glaucoma.

So I was wondering if anyone here would happen to know any physicians that have familiarality with both laser-treated ROP (and how that progresses in adults) as well as narrow-angle glaucoma, because having only one eye I really want to protect my vision but I don’t want to risk doing something that could have me lose it, so I want to have all the information possible before making a decision.

Now I am low-risk, they said around 8% risk of an acute angle closure attack, but it’s still a concern. And my typical doctor, as well as a couple others I saw, recommended I get a laser treatment (I think an irodotomy) to reduce that risk to pretty close to zero. But I’m still concerned.

For reference, I’m about an hour and a half from Philly where Will’s Eye is.

EDIT: My eye pressure in my seeing eye is 13.
