The Firemoth is here

Following their successful Trial of Possession against the Ghost Bears, Clan Blood Eagle has now started production on another clan Omnimech, the Firemoth. This Blood Eagle refit is armed with two medium pulse lasers and a single SRM6.

The Trial was requested for the Firemoth as Clan Blood Eagle often fields Novas and Supernova Binaries/Trinaries instead of regular star formations, and having a mech capable of carrying and quickly deploying points of Elementals was seen as being a boon to the Clan touman.

New ‘mech in the works

Following the successful introduction of their totem omnimech, Clan Blood Eagle has won a trial of possession to gain the technical blueprints and rights to produce another clan omnimech.

Work has started on the lower portion of the center torso, and the beginnings of the hip assembly.
Any guesses as to which omnimech they have obtained?

The decision has not yet been made as to whether this is built in the prime configuration, of a clan specific refit.

Built a custom mech out of Lego, had to create a record sheet

As the title says, built a homebrew mech but could not sleep without giving it actual tabletop stats.

I present to you, the totem mech of my homebrew clan (Clan Blood Eagle); the Blood Eagle, dubbed “Fire Hawk” by Inner Sphere freebirths.

65 tons of mobile fire power, the Blood Eagle is most dangerous at medium to close ranges where it can fire all of its weapons with only a minor heat build up. With an 8 hex run speed and 11 tons of armour, plus AMS and ECM, it is fast and tough enough to ensure it gets there.

While it may not be the most optimal build (an earlier version had jump jets instead of some extra armour, MGs and the ECM) I think it would do well enough on the tabletop, and I have tried to make it as something that would exist in universe rather than being perfectly streamlined and OP.

It is also very satisfying to finally built a battlemech out of LEGO that can stand up on its own in a variety of poses, after previously only trying to make something of this size back in the 90s when my dad first let me play MW2.

Thoughts and comments appreciated.
