Hi everyone,

I am an Indian citizen and my mother is Nepali. The education funds are in her bank account in Nepal.

We are trying to send money abroad for my higher studies, but the bank is refusing because I am Indian citizen even though my mother is sponsoring my education.

Has anyone faced something similar with Nepal banks or NRB rules? Did another bank allow it or did you need approval from forex/head office?

Any guidance would be really appreciated.
