I (28F) have been dating a man (38M) for 3 months. Its been amazing but he has been difficult to read emotionally, and is not verbally expressive or validating. However I know we are both looking for something long term and only dating each other.

About a week ago he texted me that he had a lot on this week and said if he goes a little quiet, that will be why. And he apologised if that's the case. Since then, he hasn't initiated contact since (one brief conversation I started in that time, but I've been trying to respect his need to focus on other things).

I'm trying to be patient for him to reconnect and trust his message, but part of me thinks this is his way of beginning to end things. Would love advice 🙂
