Asking help in advance because i know where this will lead.
Some context, every time i open my pc to clean it/change/add something, 90% of times something ends up wrong and my pc doesnt turn on or it does but all i can see is black,so i end up looking on reddit or youtube from my phone which isn't practical at all and sometimes end up arguing with people because even if the advice that i get does sound like it makes sense,it's wrong most of the times.
So i'd like to use this opportunity, now that i'll try something again,to ask what could go wrong and what most likely didn't.
Last time this happened,i changed my cpu but i had to update my motherboards drivers first, so i went and i did that ,as a result,my pc wouldn't work,i think it sounded like it turned on but i couldn't see anything.I believe i solved it by taking out the motherboards battery for a minute and putting the ram sticks in different slots but i'm not really tech-savy to know if that's what worked,i just usually try different things and by luck i get it done.( I don't know if it matters, but if i remember correctly, when i first got my pc i watched a video on youtube to give a boost on my ram so i changed some settings in bios, before i did the update years later)
As a result, computer turned on and i said fuck it,and i've been using my pc with the ram not in the optimal slots for the past year,i don't think it runs as well as it used to so i decided i'll try and change them as soon as i post this but i'm afraid something similar will happen again so i would like to know some of the possibilities and eliminate others.
My pc is working as my writing this post,no problem with PSU,my graphics card didn't burn,my ram sticks didn't suddenly just die, everything is connected where it should be.
