'New Card is being produced' EB2 India - outside the country for the next 2 weeks
Hi Everyone - My long (long, long, long) wait has come to an end and I saw the 'new card being produced' message today online. I was very pleasantly surprised since the dates retrogressed in the June bulletin so I was not expecting this. My timelines are below if its helpful to other members of this sub. Reddit has been a great source for me for information over the years.
However, I am outside the country on work until the 31st of May. Does anyone know if I can still enter using Advance Parole even if the card is physically in the mailbox?
In the US since 2009 (student 2009- 2011, H1B 2011 to 2025, EAD 2025 to present - 3 jobs in total)
PD: March 2014 EB2 India
Oct 2020 - I485 filed downgraded in EB3
Aug 2022 - Interfiled to EB2 as it was current
Aug 2022 - received EAD/AP
Dates retrogressed in October 2022
Jan 2025 - changed jobs , started using EAD and AP for travel
Feb 2025 - filed I485J for AC21 job change
March 2025 - received RFIE for Medicals (probably triggered by the 485J)
May 2025 - submitted Medicals. CRP status
April 2026 - dates became current
June 2026 visa bulletin - dates retrogressed. My PD (March 2014) no more current
May 15 2026 - New Card is being produced!!!!!
I have traveled multiple times of AP with no problems (except waiting in secondary)
I will be entering the country on May 31st. What should I do? I can carry the approval notice from USCIS. I am considering asking my friend to mail the card to me but I am nervous about Fedex'ing the GC.
