How to connect a fuel line from the steel tubing to fuel filter?
I am connecting a fuel line from the engine to the return side of the fuel filter. I was attempting to connect a 5/16 nylon fuel line to the steel tubing without much much success. I understand that with nylon tubing you have to heat it first so it can expand just enough to go on the fitting. Once it cools down it tightens and creates a solid seal. But the 5/16 nylon tubing couldn't expand enough to comfortable go around the steel fitting. I know 5/16 nylon tubing goes around the steel tubing because it was on there originally. Is there any substitute i can use for the nylon tubing that can go from the steel tubing to the fuel filter connector? There was a quick connector that went on the fuel filter but it broke off. For reference, this is a 2011 4l v6 ford ramger.
