Male Perspective Autobiography/Memoir of ordinary person

I am trying to find some books written by relatively ordinary men who discuss the way they discovered how life is and how they lived it. I am not looking at extraordinary individuals who are already idols but men who may not be well known. At one point, I came across Paul Dirac's biography but that still seems like an extraordinarily genius man. I understand it's difficult because ordinary people generally have no need for this but it feels like every normal life is in fact an essential read to experience the non-normality of normalcy if that makes sense.

It doesnt have to be non fiction. I am completely fine with reading male perspectives in fictions. But not like crime and punishment. Thats horrifying.
