I have my first endocrinology appt this morning. Quick background on me: I’ve sadly experienced recurrent pregnancy loss and my hypothyroidism was discovered by my OB after a series of blood tests. My antibodies were in the 100’s, TSH was 3.45 (technically normal but my OB says it needs to be under 2.5) and my T4 was barely low. My OB put me on low dose 50 mcg levothyroxine and my TSH is now under 2.5 and T4 normal. I don’t really have any symptoms of Hashi’s as mine was discovered very early.
I believe this appt is really just to get established with endocrinology but I’d like some advice on what I should ask. I’m already going to ask about diet, checking a T3, and other things like ferritin, selenium, vitamin d. What else?
