Hi, I very recently turned 18 and I’ve struggled with medical neglect from my family my whole life. I have braces and haven’t gotten them checked up or even been to a dentist in general since July 2023. I beg my family to take me to the dentist constantly. I can’t figure things out on my own and I can’t drive. I think I’m developing gingivitis and I’m so scared. I genuinely cannot take this shit anymore. I brush my teeth 2x a day but I’m assuming that this is gonna persist anyways because of these stupid braces. I’ve had them on for so long with no care that my teeth have started shifting back. I’m so sick of this. Can someone please give me advice on what to do. I have no money and idek if I have insurance and my family is no help.
