Call me a conspiracy theory lover but I think I am on to something. I have watched these guys cut labor and pay more and more over the years. More and more we get into trouble for not using AI whether it’s for ordering or scheduling. They outsourced the help desk and outsourced our audits. Also they severely cut store managers pay and bonuses. The SM pay is laughable now. I am also seeing managers who were getting those higher pay rates drop like flys and either age out or get fired. It was completely doable to earn 100k as a SM before now not anymore. I think they are moving towards 100 percent automation which is why we are required more and more to work as skeleton crews. Think about the percentage of customers they want through mashgin. I will not be surprised to see 2-4 employees per store in the coming years purely to service the robots that took our jobs. The intricacies of how the plays out? God only knows. I know it’s hard right now but I would suggest preparing. Big corporations have sold us out and I don’t think we are mad enough. I have to say legion is a joke it schedules people as if they were robots and the mashgin lol constant problems with that thing. However I also think that’s why the economy is doing so bad. It’s so they can reset and go to a different currency that will work with these robots better…. all digital. Nothing is a coincidence anymore. Please get out there and vote because I really think we are all about to get screwed.

I have the hardest time at work using my stores own bathroom because customers are always in it! I swear to god they come to our store just to use the bathroom. Some don’t even buy anything or say anything the just rush right by me or the counter and go straight to the bathroom. I get so pissed because I have had to hold it waiting until my stomach hurts. If these stores are going to have single toilet bathrooms they need to have a staff only one. Besides lotto customers I would have to say this is one of my chief complaints. I have even seen lines to our bathroom and we are not that big of a store.

Do you guys think CK knows about this Reddit sub? Just curious because I have been amazed at how helpful this sub is and how much it has grown in 2-3 ish years.

Does anyone know the policy on this. I know of many SMs who are guilty of this and yes it causes a lot of problems in my district. Just curious.

I’m thinking on jumping on 11-7 shifts because my evening people are kinda standing around and not getting stuff done that should be done. I get a lot of I was too busy or I wasn’t trained. Anyone got an opinion on this?

I didn’t get paid last night. I am assuming because of July 4th maybe it late idk. I usually get paid on Tuesday night. I have noticed that oftentimes on holiday weeks our pay is later.

I have not gotten a raise this year. Why and how does this work?

I do my audits. I have put in tickets because planograms do not match. I still get more things than I ordered despite zeroing them out. My P and L is going to be ridiculous because I have way too much. Trying to order things not listed, especially cigarettes is hell. I hate Relex! My bonuses will be shit after I have to bad merch all the expired product they seem to just dump on me. What is everyone else’s experience with this system? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
