I have a bunch of questions about move in day that I was wondering if I could get answered:
- What typically happens on move-in day?
- Do your suitemates and roommates normally stay and begin living there once they complete their move-in in those 2 hours?
- For me, my roommate’s time slot is at 12pm and I’m 2 hours later at 2pm, will they be like in there while me and my parents are moving in?
- What happens after you finish moving in your stuff to the dorm?

Personal experience questions:
- How was your first day and night living at your dorm and with your roommate?
- What did you do after moving in with your parents?
- anything else you would care to share and be helpful to know?

I’ll be in Tandon Othmer Hall for my first year and I have 1 roommate, but it’s a 2-room, 4-person suite.

I’m kinda nervous idk why. I hope I enjoy my time and click with my roommate and ppl on my floor. I’m a pretty shy person so hopefully everything goes well. Even though I’m nearby from queens, I’ll probably stay during the weekend to connect and make friends.

So I had signed up for an 8am calc 1 class with a good professor for this upcoming fall but it was cancelled like last week. Are there any chances they “create/release” new classes and time slots?

Also none of the available ones fit into my current schedule, I can’t move my writing class because all the ones that are still available time conflict. What happens if I can’t find a time slot for calc I? Should I just stick to my pre-calc which still fits?

Does anyone have any info about the tandon math retake?
All I know that the time is lessened from 2 to 1 hour, and calculators are no longer allowed. But I haven’t taken it in months and I was wondering what could I expect?

Hey everyone, so I don’t think I did well at all on my pre-calc final yesterday. I actually think I failed. I studied so hard but I struggled. I might end up with a C or C-. I don’t know what’s going to happen, will I get rescinded? Either way it’s embarrassing

And even so, how will I do well as a premed if I struggle in precalc. I did excellent on all my previous math classes before college and now I’m struggling.

Any former OP students or anyone in general have advice?

So I’m currently in precalc but will be retaking for a second attempt to place into Calc 1. But enrollment ends today for the Calc 1 courses. I added the one I wanted to my shopping cart in case I do get placed into Calc 1.

If I eventually get placed into Calc 1, will NYU/albert lift that restriction so I could enroll?

Can anyone speak on their experience on dorming in Othmer? Or if anyone has seen how the traditional 2 room suites look like? Gonna be moving in for this coming year and I’m about to finalize dorm shopping

I just realized the dorms don’t come with fridges or microwaves so I probably have to buy those with my roommate, will they even fit? Is there space for a shoe rack?

Hello everyone! I’m currently majoring in Biomolecular Science at Tandon for my first-year but I’m 100% set on internal transferring to Washington Square

Thinking between three options:
- Biology at CAS
- Psychology at CAS
- Nutrition & Food Studies or Dietetics at Steinhardt

I understand any major can be pre-med, but which one will give me the most benefit? In terms of easy side classes for GPA boost, specific school pre-med opportunities/orgs., class fits, etc.

have any premeds here (from any school within NYU) decided to make the switch to nursing and tried to transfer into Rory Meyers?

im slowly starting to question if il be able to get into med school. I know nursing isn’t easy/guaranteed and Rory is probably hard to get into, but I feel like at least with a nursing degree after Rory, I’d be able to get a better job much easier and securely compared to just a degree and no med school
