Honestly, I still can’t get over the fact that myboyrudder doesn’t get more shit about this food brand. Darwin is not even popular on r/rawpetfood. Multiple people reported on that subreddit that the brand made their animals sick.
9 times out of 10 I’m like you do you queen whenever people are feeding their animals raw food.
I have even fed my animals like high-pressure processed frozen raw food and freeze dried raw food before mainly as lower calorie fun addition to their meals. Also, freeze dried raw food is a great low-calorie, high value training treat option for dogs. Most dogs will do about anything to eat it, but they won’t gain a ton of weight.
That being said, you will never find me 1. using raw food that has not even been through any form of high-pressure processing, which Darwin’s hasn’t and 2. Using a brand of pet food that makes up a quarter of all FDA pet food warnings.
That doesn’t even touch how misleading Maddie is about the safety of the food. She has never once uttered the fact that Darwin‘s does absolutely no processing of their raw food because the company claims it gets rid of good nutrients. Like if she was championing Steve’s Real Food or Small Batch, I’d be like whatever, they process it a lil and they’re not as exorbitantly expensive and dangerous as Darwin’s.
Anybody who criticizes her use of this food brand is blocked usually or she makes up some BS about how it’s important to handle raw food properly. If people were so prone to error around handling raw dog food, there would be way more FDA warnings about other brands of raw dog food. There are a handful but nowhere near the quantity that Darwin’s has.
