Humanized Neopets: Helena White

This is just an attempt in drawing neopets in their human looks because I plan to draw four of my OC neopets (I already did Helena White so I’m also gonna work on her younger sister Anastasia, then Baelia Thorne, Apple Whetherby and Kalinawa) and my favorite neopet characters from different plots (I couldn’t pick any of them) as humans.

I also thought of making a second version of the humanized neopets characters but each of them with features from their species (I am familiar with the ones with the animal ears, tails, wings, antennae, horns) like how the anime draw anthro/human characters but there were some neopets that were difficult to draw in the second humanized version, how do I do it?

Character Personalities

After reading the comic plots of The Battle for Meridell, Hannah and the Ice Caves, The Curse of Maraqua, The Lost Desert Plot, The Altador Plot, The Tale of Woe, Journey to the Lost Isle, The Atlas of the Ancients, The Faeries’ Ruin or The Void Within, and watching the gameplay of Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, I was curious about the characters’ personalities and traits but I couldn’t figure them out.

Here’s the updated designs of my OC/Neosona, Helena White. She’s a pink Lupe from Altador with Shenkuuvian heritage as she grew up feeling caught between two worlds. Her father’s culture fascinated her because she learned her first self-defense in his home village but she never felt truly accepted in her mother’s homeland. When her restlessness became too great, she left Altador and journeyed across Neopia as a mercenary, working for clients of her own choosing and selling her skill for a fair price.

Her travels honed her strength and independence — she mastered foreign weaponry, discovered her innate magical potential that she combined with her fighting style, and formed bonds with allies from every land she visited. Yet, for all her accomplishments, she remained haunted by loneliness and the ache of not belonging anywhere.

That changed when she arrived in Meridell. Hired by the knights to rescue hostages from the Ixi Raiders, Helena proved herself as both a warrior and a strategist. Her bravery caught the attention of Sir Jeran Borodere, whose sense of honor and warmth slowly broke through her guarded heart when she saved him from one of the enemies. They tried to keep their growing affection secret at first, though the entire kingdom noticed their closeness — and teased them endlessly for it.

But their bond only deepened when Helena finally opened up about her past — the hurt of a broken relationship, the distance from her family, and the uncertainty of who she truly was. Jeran listened, not as a knight but as a friend and partner, and helped her mend the rift with her family. With his support, Helena learned that strength isn’t only found in solitude but also in trust and love.

But peace in Meridell would not last. During The Void Within plot, a powerful surge of corruption swept across the kingdom, draining it of color and life. As the grey enchantment spread, Helena’s own faerie magic reacted violently, trapping her inside her closet — a protective yet imprisoning spell that kept her from fighting the one who caused it. Upon realizing what had happened to Meridell — and that Jeran himself had turned grey — Helena’s despair ignited into fierce determination. She channeled her energy alongside her remaining allies, vowing to defend her home at all costs.

Meanwhile, her sister Anastasia White, the partner of Florin, one of the heroes of Altador and a warrior in her own right, became caught in the same chaos. Teaming up with Tavi, Baelia, Luxinia, and Nyx, Anastasia took up Helena’s cause — determined to restore the colorless lands of Neopia and uncover the dark force responsible for the disaster.

When you read any of the plot comics, have you wondered who would’ve been their voices and what they’d sound like? I sometimes thought about it when I do that.
