Hello, I have been mia for a good while, sorry about all the pending replies I see in notifications. For quite some time already I have had less free time and been spending less time both answering here and in neo itself, until I was answering reddit once per month with luck and then once every few months.

The thing is while I have been quite away from all this, tnt has not and has either hired someone specifically for security or at least has managed to setup good practices and monitoring to improve it a lot. The result is that I was not keeping track of that and eventually my access got patched. I did try a bit to regain access and while it worked for a short while, that was patched as well (which seems to imply they do have an active monitoring system now). I did not have the time to spend more time on it and left as is, thinking I could try again at some other point.

The conclusion I have reached is that the point won't come, and even if I managed to regain access it would be cut off the next day so seems like a waste of time I don't even have. So I have finally decided to make an update on my situation and say goodbye, at least in my ability to answer stuff or make posts.

While I could still answer questions on old code, I can't really answer anything about current cheating or anything complex which required scripts running from my side that I can't run anymore. So no more obelisk stats either :(. Now that security seems to be in a good place, hopefully tnt improves on the botting side.

It has been a good run, have had fun and hopefully helped multiple people along the way while it lasted, which was quite longer than expected.

• You now have to calculate taxes on your Neopoint earnings every year or face the wrath of the Neopian Revenue Service.
• Snow, ice, chocolate, candy, origami and woodland pets immediately lose all HP if they visit Moltara.
• You can only visit Maraqua for a few minutes before your pets start to run out of oxygen, unless they're painted Maraquan or are a Peophin/Flotsam/Jetsam/Koi/Acara/etc.
• If you have a food-colored pet, your other pets have a small chance of eating them if they get hungry.
• Snot pets have a permanent case of Sneezles.
• If your active pet has Blurred Vision, every page you visit will be blurry and shaky.
• Royal pets will not use any toy/book/food/grooming item with an estimated value of less than 50,000 Neopoints or stay in the economy hotels at the Neolodge.
• Pirate pets will sometimes steal your Neopoints, use them to buy random items and leave them in your inventory.
• You now have to sign up for a NeoCross NeoShield health insurance plan for each individual pet, or all cures cost 50% more.
• You can now bribe the Altador Cup Committee with Neopoints to increase the chances of your team winning.

I know Neopets started as a site for college aged kids, and I wanna know your experience and what the community was like in the early ages of Neo. I was probably 11 when I first started playing, late 2000s. I remember bragging to one of my Neofriends (probably older than me) about having 20k NP 😭 I earnt all of it playing flash games.

I don’t know how I didn’t get banned for this, but I also added someone on Facebook through Neo. She was older than me, I remember gifting her a cutely named Pirate Xweetok. This was back when Pirate pets were still expensive. She isn’t active anymore but she was really into Inuyasha.

I mostly hung out in the PC boards, I was the really annoying kid who somehow traded up from a VWN cheaply painted pet to a few trades I don’t remember, to a rare BN UC Grey to, finally, a pronouncable 3L unlimited custom!! I asked for a draik (of course) cause I was into customisation. I know I was annoying cause people on PC made threads lightly satirising me when I kept advertising the UC grey lmao.
