I don't remember Neopets being so plagued by monetization, even in the early days of the NC Shop. So why do people seem to get so offended when TNT's over-reliance on monetization is brought up in this subreddit?
In today's portal news update TNT has shared some info pertaining to how Battle Pass will look for the remaining site events of 2026.
They also provided some additional comments and info suggesting this will be integrated into more site events and that no final long term decision has been made on what will be included with Premium.
The main info I'm sure people are more curious about is:

I understand it’s been operating at a loss. I’ve been playing for 21 years and so grateful I still have my lil ol Neopets account to play, and that the most expensive paint brush isn’t even 5mil, and so many things in the game are accessible now to all players, like Draiks, Krawks, etc (although the Varwolf fills that exclusive pet void now)
Idk I just want more pretty NP wearables that aren’t in the 10s of millions or 100 million.
I just recently made it to my first 100 mil, woohoo :D its taken me about a year to get here though.

This morning the site is quite buggy loading images (like the arrow on the back button), I got popups to ask if Neo could give me personalised ads, and on some pages, ads are breaking through my ublock hovering over actual content. This is new. And very unwelcome.

It's that time of year where I scroll in entirely too far on all the new halloween items and try to figure out which of them belong in my marshmallow gallery! How do we feel about these square things? They look like neapolitan marshmallows, right? Any other guesses what these confections could be?
My most expensive item was my level 50 item which was a Halloween Draik Plushie at 20 million.
Still can't get a gold trophy though. I've resorted to a timer on my phone to remember to do it as close to 12 hours as possible. Last month, multiple people did not miss and I never got above bronze.
I absolutely love the Doost! It is so cute and im saving up for one. My irritation is that the Doost itself is the only item to exist. There arent any books that mention the Doost, there are no Doost themed foods, and there arent any wearables that even feature the Doost, unlike the other Petpetpets. Nothing else of it exists. -__-
My question is, does anybody else have an item just like this that they wish there was more of? Eg. Ditreys, or just any item in general, doesnt have to be a p3.

I used to be on neopets like 15-20 years ago, and something made me think of Vira, that Acara character that’s creepy looking. But I googled it, and this thing is NOT the Vira I grew up. The other one looked more like a regular Acara I think. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
So first of all I LOVE that we're getting baby variants of different pet colors because it's something I've been dreaming of for years and years, and in my head I was trying to think of other fun color crossovers we could get in the future and suddenly it occurred to me...once we run out of Baby variants, imagine if we start getting the same thing but with the Elderly pets.
Elderly Faeries, Elderly Chocolate, Elderly Mutant, Elderly Maraquan...I think that would be pretty cute :D
