That's all. Regular blockers doesn't quite work on it. It seems to affect people randomly - free or premium or whatever.

Of course, you'd have to whitelist Neopets itself on NoScript.

It's still a lot of clicking and the brushes are only 3 points each, but in a pinch it is only ~100 NP and fast. Just open and close tabs en masse.

It is looking less like a donation and more like a stoning with all the bouncy balls being tossed around...

Is, like, the very quietly giving atmosphere?

Some very kind people just sent me Bloat-Be-Gone because they saw me whining talking about Wheel of Chickaroo on the newbie board. I mean, I sent them right back because the gesture has far more effect on me than the items would ever be, it's very touching!

And seeing people handing out (currently) expensive paintbrushes to others is pretty wild. Somebody also just sent me a foreground and be like "its cheap but it will look good on your baby, put it on!!!" (It does look good!)

Like, two decades earlier I could never imagine being sent anything but omelettes, and I don't think it's a language barrier thing. Hopefully I'd be able to pay it forward like that someday as well.

I also received, like, a few Bitten Green Apples "for your Green Apple Chia", but, um, I don't really understand?

Faerie Fragments

• Put you into the shoes of an amnesiac unnamed faerie you can name....
• ...but she's a defined and active character on the main site as Luxinia.
• You are rebuilding a perfidiously pastel piece of Faerieland and you can name it...
• ...but all your partners are decidedly non-faerie themed goofballs styled after Fashion Fever Rejects.
• You can earn cosmetic coins and get new clothes...
• ...but only for your already very colorful defined partner pets and not Luxinia.
• ...the cosmetic tutorials involves putting the punk-looking Varia into an ill-fitting pink-ish child sportswear.
• You can customize the new Faerieland slightly by picking 1 out of 3 options for various buildings...
• ...but in practice you will never be walking around as you slam that button to the next level.
• This is an online game where you can join guilds and talk to people...
• ...but all you can show off is an avatar and frame.

Tales of Dacardia

• You are an ambiguous dispossessed blob building up the island of Dacardia.
• ...We aren't talking about some backwater offshoot isle in an archipelago - this is the one and only island. You don't even get to name a settlement or anything - you are building on a very specific patch of the beach.
• Almost immediately, you are taught how to create hats, paintbrush and paint rollers to customize pets...
• ...but the island population on a regular playthrough is 3. There aren't enough heads for hats, or enough skin for paint.
• As a building game, the monetization is extremely eager to get you on the decoration building grindset...
• ...Plenty of objects require resources only available rarely from debris pile, so players refrain from building anything to avoid soft-locks unless absolutely necessary.
• ...but you are incentivized to keep the island clean and empty to easily reach buildings for dailies.
• ...The population is so low that a well-decorated beach is going to look like a creepy ghost town.
• At 13+ USD a pop (that's around two months of Premium for reference!), you can bolster the population with new, lavishly animated Neopets to Dacardia...
• ...to enjoy the Dacardian life of Unemployment and Dirt-eating.
• ...Production capability more or less caps out at 4 pets gathering, so buying pets are also discouraged as they are just more unemployed mouths to feed.
• ...Each pet species is unique - no duplicate allowed, so it's simultaneously expensive for the player to buy *and* for the developers to produce.
• ...The main currency of the game is Pearly Neggs, which you cannot earn if you delegate crafting to the pets, so anyone not gathering is also not a good fit for crafting...
• Damned if you stick to a low population, damned if you go for a higher population.
• There is a decent photo mode for the game and daily tasks encouraging you to use it...
• But this is a game with no multiplayer aspect or vanity incentive whatsoever - no Dacardia spotlight or some such on the main website, either.
• (Addendum: You are ostensibly cleaning up the island of debris piles and recycling them....
• ...but fine folks like Lania and Pan has zero respect for the environment, and have the players create fake, artificial fallen tree logs and mossy boulders to pollute the beach for their own vibes.)

Also where did Team Dacardia comes from anyway? There are so little people on the island that their idea of "Altador Cup viewing" is a gaggle of crabby bots mimicking sports fan in front of a blank screen! 💀
