I’ve been seeing posts of people who, dahil mayaman sila, virtue-signal and willingly gave up their UP slots kesyo martyr sila. Also those who pressure to give up a slot. Hindi niyo naman masasabi kung nakatulong ka at naachieve goal mo kasi what if sa mayaman rin lang napunta yung slot. Edi pinagod niyo lang sarili niyo by taking the UPCAT. As a UP grad and former people pleaser, ibang level naman iyan.
Unless you prefer the other programs, and the environment, facilities, in other schools, magUP na kayo. Make the most out of the opportunities handed to you and give back to the less fortunate than you in other ways. Magsimple lifestyle lang kayo sa UP. Be socially aware. Displaying wealth is tacky in UP. Basta wag self-sacrificial / self-sabotage pagdating sa education. Future niyo iyan.
