I mean similar to TecToy's console, not a mini console or FPGA-based (though the MiSTer cores are excellent).

With the talk of the AES+ recently I've been thinking of consoles that would do well with similar treatment, and the Genesis was the first one I thought of. The ability to have access to a brand new console was canceled only a few years ago, and more importantly we still have a steady influx of new games coming out. Imagine for example, a ZPF pack-in bundle.
