Bambino vs Bambino Plus — which is better for learning microfoam?

Looking to pull the trigger on my first espresso machine and torn between the Bambino and the Bambino Plus.
The big thing for me is I actually want to learn microfoam properly — latte art is part of the appeal. So I’m wondering: does the auto-frothing wand on the Plus help you learn the feel of milk texturing, or does it kind of do it all for you and stunt the learning curve? And on the flip side, is the manual wand on the regular Bambino powerful enough to make good microfoam without fighting it?
For anyone who owns either — would you make the same choice again knowing what you know now?
Thanks!

Oracle Jet vs Bambino (+ Breville grinder) — or something else? [$1500]

Hey everyone,

I recently got into the espresso world and have been really enjoying it — cappuccinos are my go-to drink. Now I'm trying to lock in my first proper setup and could use some honest input.

The two options I'm weighing:

  1. Breville Oracle Jet
  2. Bambino or Bambino Plus paired with a Breville grinder (open on which grinder pairs best)

The Oracle Jet is on the expensive side for me, but if it's genuinely worth the spend long-term, I can stretch the budget. I'd rather buy once than end up upgrading in 6–12 months.

A few things I care about:
- Solid milk steaming for cappuccinos
- Long-term value and reliability

Also fully open to suggestions outside these two if there's something better in either price range that I should be looking at instead.

Would especially love to hear from folks who've owned either of these, or who started where I am and went a different direction. What would you do?

Thanks in advance!
