Background: f1 opt student in US, stable job, ~10 months into job, picked for H1B lottery this year (awaiting approval i797 notice in 2 to 3 months)

I have been in contact with HDFC for a plot loan in India (80 lakhs), but haven't been able to successfully secure one mainly because they state my visa is still student visa (understandable since I am still employed on f1 visa)

Has anyone on f1 opt / stem opt recently been able to get home loan from other banks ?

Have a time crunch situation since hdfc already wasted 2 months to tell me this

Are there any workarounds which can help me convince hdfc to approve my home loan? I am also open to other banks
