I bought this for myself after a big professional accomplishment almost a year ago, then due to a few unfortunate life events had to move and was dealing with a lot personally. Recently realized how many weird spots were suddenly all over her. Is it scale? I had never heard of it until a recent search. I sprayed it the last two days with an isopropyl alcohol/water mix, and tried rubbing them off with a q-tip but they seem glued on there. Any tips? Is she fixable?

Currently has been in a south facing window, and I also recently downsized the pot because I thought the brown at the bottom might be root rot but I think it was just dyed from the orchid bark I had in the old mix.

I bought this from one of the big box stores late fall/early winter. Meant to figure out how to separate it and then... life happened. They seem pretty stuck together in the root ball, maybe even grown together somehow, so I'm worried about damaging the plants. Do I need to just suck it up and figure I'm going to lose one or two in the process?
