People Data Labs review - anyone use their raw API?

alright so i've been evaluating pdl's api for a few months now. we're building an internal enrichment tool and need raw access to contact data at scale.

the good: their api is solid, good documentation, and the match rates are decent (around 65-70% on our test sets). coverage is pretty solid and they have interesting firmographic fields we use.

the bad: pricing gets steep fast if you're doing any volume. we're looking at 30k+ enrichments monthly and it's pushing into enterprise territory. also noticed their mobile number coverage is pretty weak compared to what we need. data freshness is hit or miss - found a bunch of contacts with companies they left 6+ months ago. my manager keeps asking why we're paying this much for stale records lol

for context we're comparing with a few others. Apollo has decent coverage but their api rate limits are annoying. been testing Prospeo's api too which seems to have better mobile coverage and costs way less per enrichment. still early days though.

curious if anyone's built something substantial on top of pdl? how do you handle the stale data issues?

orum review - does parallel dialing actually connect more calls?

My team has been using Orum for about 4 months now for our outbound cold calling efforts. The parallel dialing is legit - we're connecting 3-4x more calls per hour than manual dialing. Our SDRs are hitting 80-100 dials/day without breaking a sweat.

The good: connects are way up, the AI detection for voicemail vs live person is pretty accurate (I'd say high 80s percent of the time), and the local presence dialing definitely helps with pickup rates. Also integrates well with Salesforce which is huge for us.

The not so good: price is steep, and you still need good data going in. We've had some issues with the voicemail drop feature being buggy. Also their support is kinda slow to respond.

Biggest thing is you need clean phone data or you're just parallel dialing bad numbers faster. We use Lusha but honestly the mobile numbers have been hit or miss lately. Started looking at Prospeo for direct dial numbers since a couple people in another thread mentioned their connect rates being better. Anyone else running Orum? What's your connect rate looking like?
