I see the firm is rolling out devspace (claudecode) for employees with $2000 monthly budget.
Honestly, I was stunned to see number of people burning tokens like no one’s business. For eg:- folks in our team use opus 5.5 to do a simple query. Switching to devspace is going to be a challenge because of the budget I feel.

Got to know that a person in our team was asked to move cross country. The issue is that managers know that he’s committed to that place because of family, kids etc.

Otherwise that employee has to leave. I have been reading a lot of PIPs in the group.

I suspect it could be the AI spends that the firm might be balancing with layoffs.
