I recently had a toenail removed. It was on my big toe. A piece of gauze from the original bandage is stuck on top of the place where the toe nail was. I have tried massaging the gauze with cream and gently removing it, and soaking it 3 times a day in vinegar and salt, and it is still stuck in the crevices of my toe / where the toe nail was. Advice please? I do not want this to get infected. The gauze is well and truly stuck.
