Looking for a comfortable remote work base/alternatives in KL this summer
Hi everyone, I (26F, local) will be spending the summer working remotely in KL and I’m looking for recommendations for a comfortable and practical space.
I’ve already looked into some co-working spaces, but my main issue is that I really need a proper monitor setup (or at least somewhere safe where I could leave/store my monitor during the period I’m there). Most places seem laptop-oriented, and I haven’t really found a good solution yet.
What I’m ideally looking for:
\- Quiet and comfortable environment for full workdays
\- Proper desk setup / ergonomic enough for long hours
\- Either:
\- monitors provided,
\- dedicated desks,
\- or somewhere secure enough to leave a monitor temporarily
\- Reliable WiFi
\- Walking distance to food/coffee/convenience stores
\- Safe area with decent surroundings (wouldn't say no to a nice park)
Location-wise:
\- KL downtown up till Damansara would be the scope
\- suburban is okay too as long as it’s pleasant and walkable
I’m also very open to alternatives beyond traditional coworking spaces. If you happen to have a quiet extra space (studio, workshop, retail space, architecture office, pottery studio, creative space, etc.) and would be open to sharing/renting it out, feel free to reach out!
I’m a fairly creative person myself (ex-musician) and would honestly love being surrounded by creative environment/people, even though the work I’ll be doing is mostly quiet desk work (no calls/meetings, so I won’t disturb anyone).
At this point I’m open to unconventional ideas too, so feel free to shoot me your craziest suggestions 🙂 Thank you! xx
