My dog, a 7 year old Saint Bernard Husky had an annual visit two months ago and did good like he normally does, until they started touching his back legs. He nipped at the doctor’s shirt which was extremely embarrassing and shocking to me. The techs came in to try to do the heartworm test and he absolutely refused to let them. The vet prescribed Trazadone and Gabapentin which I am familiar with, but he has never taken. The labels instruct me to take it 2 hours prior to his appointment tomorrow, but I have read a lot of posts about pets taking the meds the night before and 2 hours prior for an overall calming effect. Just wondering if the one dose will be good to start off with. Thanks!
