I will never process the trauma of summer as a single parent

I have 100% physical custody of a (almost) 5 year old. Being evaluated for ADHD/autism (she actually completed the first assessment today). Her dad comes a few times a week but isn’t reliable and literally never on time. He’s a train wreck.

So it’s up to me to manage my work schedule (house manager), keeping my daughter entertained from 8am-10:30pm, deal with meltdowns over pretty much everything, whining, her dogshit dad, keep our house SOMEWHAT clean and organized, ensure she’s not watching 5 hours of tablet everyday. No camps are available in this area for kids under the age of 5, unless you want to pay out the ass for them.

Y’all. I am done. Her school is a private school until she goes to public kindergarten. Therefore, their schedule is completely different to public. She has been off for summer since May 21 and doesn’t go back to school until August 25. That is 96 days I’ve had to pretty much parent by myself, work, clean, play with her, pack bags for the pool, snacks, plan playdates, pay for passes, etc.

I feel like suing her school for emotional distress (kidding, sorta). I’ve had to start 2 new medications to deal with the stress of being with my child by myself for over 3 months.

We still have until next Wednesday. Sigh.
