Im from cincinnati went out here for the 4th last year and im doing it again because I had a blast. Fun bars fun people laid back and a big party all at once. No bullshit just people of all ages looking to drink and party. Paradise for a guy like me. But I noticed on the ozarks reddit people throw a fit if the lake is mentioned in any way. Like I get it the locals may not go there but I dont see why they hate it. In cincinnati I avoid the banks downtown but I dont hate anyone for going there. Just curious as to why. Im asking here because I know if I ask their im getting downvoted to oblivion lol

I am sorry if this post is not allowed im gonna keep it as PG-13 as I can. Im going to lake ozark for the 4th of July second year in a row. Love the area had a blast last year. I saw porkys/night moves advertised and it looks like a place where I can people watch and get some funny stories. Also its open after every thing else closes so thats a plus if I want to keep the party going. All I want to know is it's it currently open because online information is scarce. And what to expect inside. Thanks for any and all replies!!!

I noticed movies like papillon and billy jack rated pg despite papillon showing a beheading and sexual assault and billy jack also showing sexual assault yet movies like texas chain saw massacre which had no blood and no nudity rated R? same with dirty harry some breif nudity scene and not much blood. Why was that? What was the MPAAs logic of the time? I understand some people might say "PG-13 was not a thing yet" which is very true however I dont see how that kept billy jack from an R rating...
