Best things to do for two sisters?

We’re women in our early 40’s visiting for the first time. We definitely want to get out on the water, but are NOT comfortable renting jet skis or anything without a lesson. Both good swimmers but we’re typically kayak kinda people and we’d like to do something with more adventure/speed for a change.

We’re staying near Dog Days Bar & Grill. What’s the best way to get around if we want to drink and not drive?

We’ll probably do some hiking too. Any suggestions?

Edited for clarity. Also please stop DMing me. Sweet of you men to offer to take care of us ladies, but no, we’re not getting on a boat with random Redditors.

Things to do near Osage Beach

I'm planning a bachelor trip for a group of about 10, we're gonna be there from Thursday night through Sunday morning. Currently I'm thinking of renting a boat one of the days and probably going to the Osage Beach area Saturday night to do a nice dinner and go to some bars after. What other things should I make time for? Even just cool bars or restaurants we should check out. Thanks in advance!

Kids are grown, time for me to make a change!

I am seriously thinking of relocating to the area. I am 54, live in Iowa, both of my girls are grown, and I live by myself. So I’m thinking my favorite place is a child. It was to go to Osage Beach and the lake of the Ozarks. I have a daughter that lives in Texas and one in Illinois so it would be right in the middle. I just want to start over at an amazing place, that brings back great memories and to make new ones! I just thought I would ask if this is a good idea or am I just flying off the wall lol
I retired from the newspaper business, and now work for Spark delivering and shopping for Walmart and Sam’s Club. I know there isn’t one there. But I could drive to Jefferson City. It would be fine. If I needed it. We don’t have a Chili’s here, but I did work at Chili’s in Rockford Illinois for three years so I would see if I could work a couple nights there. I left on very good terms, so I would just have to see if they were hiring.
I’ve been looking at online rentals and it seems so reasonable there, compared to here or in Rockford! I would be coming by myself, which absolutely sounds amazing. I live by myself here, and I do have family surrounding me, but sometimes that’s a little overwhelming as well. My daughters told me that it’s time to take care of myself. they are both fine and married and grandkids and it’s my time to shine!
If you could give me any pros or cons about this crazy idea, I would appreciate them!
And I know the off-season at Chili’s is not great. My aunt and uncle were just down there and they were asking the servers. But the off-season would be Christmas and New Year’s with Sam’s Club and Walmart.
I’m thinking about making this move in November, so if any of you have a two bedroom, (family will come visit, but will leave lol) either an apartment or condo for rent please let me know! I have no pets great rental history since I sold my home and just want something clean and or I can go home and relax!
Thank you all ahead of time, and hopefully I don’t chicken out and make my dreams come true!

LakeCrew app

Earlier this year we took the boat out and started texting friends to see where everyone was tied up. No answers because nobody is on their phone. So we drive around looking and waiting. I told my wife there should be an app that lets you see where your friends are on the lake.

I checked the App Store. Nothing. So I built it. LakeCrew lets you share your location with the public as well as your friends(crew). You can also set your activity so people can see if you’re busy or not. There is also a home lake feature that lets you see other people on your home lake.

If you think you wanna give it a try check out http://www.lakecrewapp.com for links to the App Store. Google play should be ready any day now.

Boat rental for small bachelor party

Hey y’all, just looking for some advice on what company to rent a pontoon from this coming weekend. Group of 5, looking to have a driver/ captain included, staying in sunrise beach area. Just don’t want to have to deal with a massive deposit or crazy pricing. Only want the boat for half a day on Saturday morning, but i saw that a lot of places only do full day rentals for saturdays? all advice and opinions are welcome!

The lake mile marker map now covers almost every fuel dock on the lake, not just the big marinas

Some of you have seen the mile marker map posted here before (marinas, rentals, charters, sorted by MM). I went through and added 39 fuel docks to it today — not just the well-known names.

The point of it: if your tank is getting low mid-lake, you can filter to just fuel and see what's actually near you instead of trying to remember which marina happens to sell gas.

Let me know if there's a dock I'm still missing — there are always a few stragglers.

Honeymooning in October at Margaritaville Lake of the Ozarks.

Hey everyone! I'm from out of state looking to possibly honeymoon at margaritaville in the lake of the ozarks. What should I look into doing while we are staying there? Are any of the pools heated? Honestly any opinions or facts would be helpful!

For some reason my fiance is dead set on margaritaville even though it wouldn't be until like... October 20th that we can stay. So any advice or thoughts would be great. I think he wants the area cause he's a big fishing enthusiast lol
