My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years. This spring, he came to me and told me that he wanted permission to pursue something below a relationship like casual dating with his coworker. Early when we had started dating, he mentioned an interest in non-monogamy but we haven’t discussed since. I put my foot down and said no, and he’s been trying to repair the relationship but my friends clearly think I’m an idiot. I also can’t really get past him spending time building up something with another woman for months without me knowing. I feel so stuck, I don’t know what to do.
