Gap between app store visits and first-time installs
Hey everyone, I'm somewhat new to iOS development. Been working on this for about 2-3 months now. I wanted to build an app that would handle the "nagging" for users
ex. a parent needs to remind their kids to practice the piano for 30 mins every day. Rather than needing to remind them every day, or just say, "they should just know by now." They can use the app, put in a task, send it to their kid and track it there instead.
- it will remind the kid to practice piano every day
- the parent sees that the task is completed
Essentially, you send off a task (for yourself or other people, mainly family members) and the app will remind/nag them until they get it done.
The issue I'm running into, is getting app installs. I did 1 campaign of meta ads for 4 days, it reached 1,157 people, got 55 link clicks (clicks (all) 53), but 0 converted to app installs. I know it's a very small sample to be working with, but am I wrong to start judging it this early?
But I guess the real question is, what advice would you guys have for the app store part? The screenshots/previews, or any other advice on having people convert better.
(I have 8 weekly active users, I will be reaching out to them tmr, and users who have installed it by word of mouth by didn't stick around long.)
